WARREN -- A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Roberts-Clark Memorial Home for Josephine C. Getsinger, 87, of 2300 Plaza Drive N.E., who died of complications from diabetes Saturday morning in Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Getsinger, also known as "Jay," was born March 19, 1914, in Youngstown, a daughter of Ralph and Josephine Maley Pirozzi. She was owner/operator of Getsinger's Archery Shop in Vienna for 25 years before retiring in 1975. She also worked for Mullins Manufacturing, was a school bus driver for Howland schools, and after moving to Florida, she became a nurse's aide and did private duty work.
She was a member of United Methodist Church and its Sunshine Club, and she was a member of Savanna Road American Legion Post 126, Benevolent Protective Order of Elks Lodge 1870, Moose Lodge 1651 and VFW Post 10066, all in Stuart, Fla.
Her husband, Edward F., whom she married Dec. 26, 1933, died Jan. 1, 1969.
She leaves two daughters, Sue Ann Motzer of Warren and Edwina Motzer of Newton Falls; a sister, Mary Glover of Stuart; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A brother, Leonard Pirozzi, and three sisters, Carmel Baron, Virginia Leathers and Rose Ferrante, are deceased.
