JOSEPHINE BUFFONE, 80

BOARDMAN -- Services will be at 8:45 a.m. Monday at Rossi Bros. Funeral Home and at 9:30 a.m. in St. Luke Church for Josephine Buffone, 80, of 6508 Glenwood Ave., who died Thursday evening at home.
Mrs. Buffone was born May 11, 1920, in Savuto diCleto, Reggio Calabria, Italy, a daughter of Casper and Maria Briglio, and came to the area 60 years ago from Niagara Falls, N.Y.
She was a chef at Brown Derby on South Avenue for 15 years, before retiring in 1980.
She was a member of the church and was a member of Mahoning County Adult Senior Day Care Center.
Her husband, Leo, whom she married Nov. 11, 1940, died Feb. 19, 1985.
She leaves four daughters, Anna Marie Rossetti of Canfield, Corky Vendetti, with whom she made her home, Linda Sutman of Poland and Leona Crogan of Youngstown; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Three brothers, Gerry, Antonio and Camil Briglio, and a sister, Maria Briglio, are deceased.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
