Food drive
POLAND -- Boy Scouts Troop 2 and 44 and Cub Scouts Pack 2 and 44 will conduct a food drive Saturday to benefit Poland Interfaith Food Pantry. Nonperishables, canned goods, paper products and cleaning supplies (no glass containers) can be dropped off from 10 a.m. to noon at Poland United Methodist Church, 1940 Boardman-Poland Road.
Christian walk
HUBBARD -- Hubbard Christians in Action is sponsoring a Walk Thru the Bible Seminar from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church. The cost is $12 for adults and $8 for children. Call (330) 534-1498 to register.

Library contest
BRISTOL -- The Bristol Public Library, the Trumbull Soil and Water Conservation District and the Geauga-Trumbull Solid Waste Management District are sponsoring an Earth Day essay contest. The contest is open to Trumbull and Geauga county students in grades one through 12. All participants must register at the Bristol Public Library where they will receive contest rules and essay topics. The deadline for essay submissions is April 6.
