Playhouse show
YOUNGSTOWN -- Youngstown Playhouse Youth Board members will be hosts of a pre-show tea and petite luncheon before matinees of the Playhouse's main-stage production of "Arsenic and Old Lace" at 2:30 p.m. Sunday and again April 1. Home, garden show
BOARDMAN -- Food and wine will be savored this weekend during a home and garden show in the center concourse at Southern Park Mall. Daily gourmet cooking demonstrations will be given by personnel from Springfield Grill, Alberini's, Mocha House, Chrystal's Restaurant, Opus 21, Jillian's and Great Harvest Breads. A wine tasting will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Jillian's, and beer tasting will be at the same time at BW-3.
Hamlisch to visit
NEW CASTLE -- Marvin Hamlisch, Pinchas Zukerman and Michael Feinstein will be guests during the inaugural season of Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra concerts at Scottish Rite Cathedral. Hamlisch will conduct the PSO Pops on June 22 in a program of his most famous compositions. Violinist Zukerman will play Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 on Nov. 10, and Feinstein will play pop favorites April 17, 2002. Subscription packages at reduced rates are available through April 7. Performance postponed
NEW WILMINGTON -- A free recital by Susan Shafer, performing artist in residence at Westminster College, scheduled for March 30 at the school, has been postponed. Shafer will be filling in as Dame Quickly in Falstaff at the Pittsburgh Opera performances Saturday, Sunday and March 30 and April 1.
