SALEM -- Private services were Monday afternoon at Burns Memorial Chapel at Glenview Cemetery, East Palestine, for Bessie May Stuart, 80, of 230 Continental Drive, formerly of East Palestine, who died Friday at 7:25 p.m. at Essex No. 3, Salem.
Mrs. Stuart was born Aug. 14, 1920, in East Palestine, a daughter of Charles A. and Nervina Sutherin Allshouse, and had lived in East Palestine until 1987 when she moved to Salem. She was a homemaker.
Her husband, Moses I., whom she married in 1947, died in 1960.
She leaves five nephews.
Two brothers, Charles Allshouse and Martin Allshouse, are also deceased.
Funeral arrangements were by Van Dyke-Swaney Funeral Home, East Palestine.
