Student's hair on fire
YOUNGSTOWN -- "Your hair's on fire!" a 15-year-old student in The Rayen School cafeteria heard Monday.
She then felt pats on her head as a friend put out the fire and a ninth-grade boy could be heard saying, "I'm sorry."
Later, the 15-year-old Lilburne Avenue boy told police, "I didn't mean to light her hair on fire. I was just messing around."
Police were unable to find the cigarette lighter the boy said he'd tossed into the trash.
The boy was taken to the juvenile justice center pending the filing of an aggravated arson charge.
