POLAND -- Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Prince of Peace Lutheran Church for Joseph A. Swoboda, 11, of 211 Nesbitt St., who died Thursday evening at home from complications of mitochondrial encephalomyopathy lactic acidosis and strokelike episodes.
Joseph was born June 11, 1989, in Youngstown, a son of Barry and Kathleen Motsko Swoboda. He was a member of the church and a fourth-grader at North Elementary School in Poland.
Besides his parents, he leaves a sister, Sarah, and a brother, Michael of Poland; grandparents, Nancy and Sam Motsko of Poland; and grandmother, Betty Swoboda of Youngstown.
A grandfather, Charles Swoboda, is deceased.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland.
