Devils 3, Flyers 2
PHILADELPHIA -- John Madden scored with 47 seconds left in the third period as the New Jersey Devils beat the Philadelphia Flyers. Madden's shot from the left circle deflected into the net off the left pad of Philadelphia goalie Roman Cechmanek. The Devils won their seventh straight game and increased their Atlantic Division lead over the Flyers to three points. The Flyers tied the game at 2 when Andy Delmore scored a power-play goal midway through the third period. Delmore's slapshot from just inside the blue line deflected off a Devils' stick and sailed over goaltender Martin Brodeur. Brian Rafalski and Bobby Holik broke out of scoring slumps with goals in a 1:20 span of the second period, giving New Jersey a 2-1 lead. Brodeur finished with 24 saves for the Devils. Mark Recchi also scored for the Flyers, who had won two straight.
Red Wings 2, Blues 2
ST. LOUIS -- Brendan Shanahan scored in the final minute of the third period as the Detroit Red Wings earned a tie with the St. Louis Blues. DALLAS -- Brad Lukowich scored with 3:13 left in overtime as the Dallas Stars beat the Colorado Avalanche. Lukowich skated up the slot from his defensive position and scored through the pads of Colorado goalie Patrick Roy on Ted Donato's pass from behind the net.
