AUSTINTOWN -- Susan and Richard Daugherty, 5862 Yorktown Lane, are announcing plans for the early spring wedding of their daughter, Keri A. Daugherty of the same address, and Brian D. Smoot, a son of Lois and Larry Smoot, 764 state Route 7 N.E., Brookfield.
May 26 has been chosen by the couple for their open wedding at 2 p.m. at St. Joseph Church. Invitations will be extended for their reception that evening at St. Mary Assumption Social Center, Youngstown.
The bride-elect graduated from the University of Akron with a bachelor's degree in family and child development and will graduate in May from Kent State University with a bachelor's degree in nursing.
Her fiance, a greens superintendent at Yankee Run Golf Course in Brookfield, graduated from Ohio State University with an associate degree in turf grass management.
