INSTALLATION Joanne Collier to lead DAR chapter



POLAND -- Joanne Collier was installed as regent of Mahoning Chapter, Ohio Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, at a luncheon meeting June 12 at Poland United Methodist Church.
Those installed to serve with her were Phyllis Garwig, vice regent; Irene Houk, corresponding secretary; and Ileene Rozich, historian.
Elaine Gorant, past chaplain, conducted the ceremony, and Sally Moldovan, outgoing vice regent, presided for business.
The national defense report was given by Isabel Wymer, with devotions given by Peg Davis and the president's general message by Mrs. Collier. Reports also were given by Nancy Finley and Joyce Haydu.
Background: Collier has served the chapter as recording secretary, director, public relations and program committees and as a hostess. She is the organist at Greenford Christian Church and has also served other churches in the area.
She and her husband, William, reside in Boardman Township.
