Pathologist examinesbones from concrete
NILES -- Dr. Humphrey Germaniuk, a forensic pathologist with the Trumbull County coroner's office, said the bone fragments found in a piece of concrete likely came from a small four-legged animal, such as a pig.
The piece of concrete was found by a city construction company Monday while the company was excavating. The company took the concrete to Niles police, who delivered it to the coroner's office.
Dr. Germaniuk said the bone fragments will be examined to make a determination.

Finance-report cases

Perry and Lucas have subsequently complied with filing requirements, officials said.
A complaint against Friends of Newton Falls Fire Department for failing to file a 2000 annual finance report will also be heard when the commission meets Thursday.

The privately owned property is at 1746 W. State St. Its designation is being changed from a combination of business-commercial and residential zoning to light industrial. Trustees agreed to the rezoning Monday.
