BASEBALL
Babe Ruth (ages 14-15)
Sluggers 12, IPS 1 -- Josh McKenney pitched the win and had two hits, one a double. Dave Piersante went 4-for-4 with two doubles. Luke Srock tripled and had two RBIs, while Ryan Hamilton and Dan Balog had two hits.
Babe Ruth (age 13)
Youngstown Express 14, East Side Kiwanis 3 -- David Patrick, Ryan Satterlee and Matt Bable combined on the pitching victory. Patrick and Satterlee added two hits apiece, as did Mike Rose and Chester Kirkwood. Jesse D'Amico went 3-for-4. Josh Crum and Rose all tripled for Express (17-0).
Colt (ages 15-17)
Boardman Phantom Fireworks 11, Poland 6 -- Justin Malice was the winning pitcher, while John Bukovinsky had three hits and scored four runs. Kyle Redding's three hits included two doubles. For Poland, Mike Dunnavant had three hits, while Brian Senich and Jonathan Kanos had two hits each.
Pony (ages 13-14)
Springfield Firemen 13, Boardman Testa Construction 9 -- Jeremy Delvxz and Matt Morell each had four hits.
Boardman GF Insulation 10, Struthers Gridiron 4 -- Winning pitcher Mike Baharis allowed one run over five innings. Corey Keller tripled and doubled, while Jeff Ulenych's two hits included a double. Nate Tausik tripled. For Struthers, Randy Mistovich had two hits.
Boardman GF Insulation 8, Austintown Sluggers 4 -- Reliever Craig Bletso gave up one run over six innings to get the win. Jeff Olenych had two doubles, while Cameron Cimino's two hits included a double. For Austintown, Chuck Koch had two hits.
SOFTBALL
Pony (ages 13-14)
Boardman Dart Trucking 8, Springfield Aerotech Heating 3 -- Sarah Albani, Sarah Stafford and Tricia Bailey combined to toss a four-hitter. Albani contributed three hits, while Stafford, Allison Luczka and Mallory Hay had two apiece.
