Signing at Book Nook
WARREN -- Les Roberts will be at the Book Nook in the Warren Plaza, 2103 Elm Road N.E., on Saturday from 7-8:30 p.m. He will be available to meet fans and sign copies of his latest Milan Jacovich mystery "The Dutch."
Roberts, a resident of Cleveland Heights, bases all his Jacovich novels in Cleveland. Other novels by Roberts include "Cleveland Local," "Pepper Pike," "Indian Sign" and "Collision Bend."

Art of Chinese calligraphy illuminated
Capital Books recently released "Ancient Wisdom I: The Mythical Tale of the Scholar Chu Shui Hu" ($17.95), a new title by P. Zbar. The book joins the ancient art and philosophy of Chinese calligraphy with the allegorical coming-of-age story of hero Chu Shui Hu.
The author has spent decades studying Chinese culture and calligraphy, and the book is peppered with Zbar's own calligraphic illustrations.

New poetry book by Mansfield author
MANSFIELD -- Written by Mansfield native and one-time physician's assistant Frank Millard, "Love Lost" (Zestos, $7.25) is a poetry book focusing on events that have shaped the author's life. Millard, who was also a soldier and a pastor, drew subject material for his poetry from his diverse professional background.
Millard is currently working on his first novel, and his second book, "Walking Brave," a thematic collection of Native American poetry, will be released by Zestos Publishing this summer.
