Meeting held to discuss sanitary sewer proposal
NEW SPRINGFIELD -- A meeting to discuss sanitary sewers in the area will be at 7 p.m. June 27 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
Springfield Township Trustee Reed Metzka said he has spoken with representatives of the Mahoning County Sanitary Engineer's Office and county health department about the proposal. Trustees had a similar meeting with residents of the Petersburg area several months ago.
Animal adoption fair
HERMITAGE, Pa. -- The Humane Society of Mercer County will have a Pet Adoption Fair and bake sale from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at its new location behind Robert's Kennels.
Adoptable animals, including puppies, adult dogs and cats, will be available. The new location is just off Route 18 in Hermitage.
