NILES -- Pop act 98 Degrees will perform Aug. 16 at Cafaro Field, stadium management has announced. Tickets will go on sale at noon Wednesday through TicketMaster. Fans can register to win backstage passes from noon to 2 Wednesday at the Eastwood Mall customer service desk. Winners' names will be announced next Thursday on WHOT-FM 101.1.
Kids, meet Clifford
NILES -- Kids can visit Clifford the Big Red Dog at 11 a.m. and 1 and 2 p.m. Saturday at the center court gazebo inside Eastwood Mall. Clifford, the star of a children's book and video series, will pose for photos at 11 and 1 and will read to children at 2 p.m.
Scrappy, mascot of the Mahoning Valley Scrappers baseball team, will also be at the mall from 1 to 3 p.m.
Lottery TV special
WYTV Channel 33 will carry the Super Lotto Plus Second Chance Sweepstakes TV special at 7 p.m. Saturday. Hosts Beneatha Barkley and Pat Finn will lead eight contestants in four games of chance during the 30-minute special. Top prize is $1 million, and two Corvettes will also be up for grabs. Contestants' names were drawn from thousands of Ohio Lottery customers who wagered at least $5 on nonwinning Super Lotto Plus tickets.

LOS ANGELES -- For those with champagne wishes and dreams of seduction, Rocket Science Laboratories is on the hunt for new couples for "Temptation Island 2" who are willing to travel to an exotic locale for two weeks while "sexy singles" try to tempt them apart.
The couples must be unmarried and childless, yet committed pairs in serious relationships. Single, open-minded men and women who are interested in "a potential relationship with someone from the opposite sex from any ethnic or religious background are also encouraged to apply," states a release.
