Woman to be tested in possible drugging at bar

AUSTINTOWN -- A 25-year-old Youngstown woman told police that a drug might have been slipped into her beer early Sunday at The Mill nightclub, 1743 S. Raccoon Road.
The woman said that by 12:15 a.m. Sunday she was abnormally sick from drinking three or four beers, which she said tasted salty. By the time she arrived home at 2:30 a.m., she was slipping in and out of consciousness.
A man later called the woman and demanded to know where the woman was living and when he could see her.
The woman plans to go to the hospital for testing.
In a similar case, a 21-year-old woman was picked up by Youngstown police officers at a Liberty Street home at 3:30 a.m. Friday. She had knocked on the door of the home and asked for help. She was not wearing shoes and was not carrying her purse.
The woman said she had no memory of what happened between 12:30 a.m. Friday and Friday afternoon. She said the last thing she remembered was dancing with her friends at The Mill nightclub.
Friday afternoon, two men were arrested in Niles after attempting to use the woman's credit cards at a department store. Police are investigating.
