Boy reports threat, damage to vehicle

BOARDMAN -- A 16-year-old Boardman resident told police that about 10 to 15 people threatened him and kicked his car, causing an estimated $1,000 in damage.
The driver said he and two passengers were traveling south on Glenwood Avenue around 10 p.m. Monday when a yellow Ford Mustang began tailgating their car, then drove up next to the car and the Mustang driver began yelling obscenities.
When they approached a red light at Glenwood and Western Reserve Road, several people got out of the Mustang and a pickup truck, approached the Boardman teen's car and began kicking it and threatened to kill him. As he tried to flee, both vehicles tried to run him off the road, a police report says. The driver said he did not know any of the attackers.
