POLAND -- Mr. and Mrs. C. Walter Carlson, 1662 Meadowbrook Ave., were guests of honor at a family dinner June 14 for the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary.
Hosts for the dinner at Anthony's On-the-River were the honorees' children and their spouses, Bob and Mary Ann Carlson of Boardman and Barbara and Bill Sullivan of Niles.The former Dorothy Sherman and Mr. Carlson exchanged marriage vows June 16, 1951, at Epworth United Methodist Church.
Mr. Carlson retired from Hood Electric Co.
Mrs. Carlson is retired from Youngstown Board of Education. She is a member of Youngstown Board of Education Retired Secretaries Organization.
They belong to Brownlee Woods United Presbyterian Church.
Their family includes four grandchildren.
