Express also beat WW Heating 17-2 in a five-inning contest.
STRUTHERS -- Nick Guerrieri doubled home the game-winner with none out in the last of the seventh inning as Youngstown Express beat WW Heating 5-4 in the Class B League on Friday at Cene Park.
WW Heating scored twice in the top of the sixth to take a 4-0 lead, but Express tallied three runs in the sixth and added two more in the seventh.
Dave Miller led off the last of the seventh with a single, and Giancarlo Silvestri singled him over. Guerrieri doubled them both in.
Youngstown Express 17, WW Heating 2: Express rapped out 17 hits in the five-inning game.
Erin Satterlee, Doug Hadoba and Nick Guerrieri each had three hits for the Express.
Gary Boris, Mike Turjanica, Guerrieri and Vasili Pahoulis each had a triple for Express, while Satterlee, Gary Boris and Guerrieri each had a double.
Jared Bogan and Jim Sanders each had a double for WW Heating.
Astro Falcons 11, Alltel 8: Alltel scored six runs in the top of the second to take a 7-1 lead, but it was all Astro Falcons after that.
A five-run second closed the gap to 7-6, and the winners added three more tallies in the fourth to assume a 9-7 lead.
Ryan Banfield came on in relief and struck out 12 hitters to get the decision.
Gary Hinkson tripled for Alltel, and Scott Wadman had a three-base hit for Astros.
Roth Brothers 9, Rondinelli Tuxedo 1: Tyler Young pitched a four-hitter and struck out four to pick up the win. Shane Davis hit a three-run home run to put the game out of reach in the fourth inning.
Davis also hit a pair of singles and scored to give Roth Brothers a 1-0 lead in the first.
After Rondinelli Tuxedo got a run to tie it in the top of the second, Roth Brothers answered with two runs in the bottom half of the inning.
John Zizzo led Rondinelli with a double and single.
Sluggers 2, Becdir 0: Bob Sankey scattered seven hits to pitch the shutout and pick up the win. Keith Jackson, Marty Kanestsky and R.J. Hooper each had two hits.
The Sluggers got the only run they needed in the top of the first inning, then added a run in the second.
Class AA: Seventeen batters went to the plate in the sixth inning at Oakland Field as Youngstown Metros scored 10 runs to put the game out of reach as it trounced Dicioccio Construction, 21-4.
Aaron Massey went 3-for-3 with a home run, triple and single and scored four times and drove in six runs for Metros.
Andy Caparello also had three hits, while Caleb Goist, Mike Mascola, Mike Perkins and Andy Zabel had two apiece.
Willy Sly led Dicioccio Construction with three hits. Rob Tamburro, Vince De'Angelo, Josh Coher and Greg Ullam each had two hits.
