Babe Ruth (ages 14-15)
Youngstown Express 13, J & amp;W Crown Limo 3 -- Mark Delisio had three hits, including a double, and he combined with Mike Eliseo on the pitching victory. Eliseo also had two hits, including a triple. Cliff Panezich singled twice and Aaron Boris doubled. Ronald Palowitz, Michael Rubosky and Matt Nolfi had hits for J & amp;W.
Pony (13-14)
Campbell West & amp; Barker 14, Austintown #4 1 -- Alan Fiorini, Trey Soares and Nick Durkin each had three hits. For Austintown, Matt Ward had two hits.
Boardman Bill's Place 6, Austintown Landmark 3 -- Chris Pechalk and Matt Carhart combined to toss a two-hitter.
Campbell West $ Barker 14, Austintown #3 5 -- Alan Fiorini and Alberto Miranda had three hits apiece, while Bobby Dolan knocked in four runs. For Austintown, Joe Hammond's two hits included a double.
Springfield Firemen 9, Austintown #4 5 -- Michael Kampfer, Matt Morell and Anthony Morell each had three hits for the Firemen. Winning pitcher Tyler Hankinson struck out seven batters.
Mayo and Orvets 4, Bill's Place 3 -- Joe Bako went 2-for-3, while Mark Cartwright pitched six innings for the win. Rick Solak got the save in relief and scored the winning run.
Struthers Gridiron 10, Austintown 1 0 -- Joel Lariccia scattered five hits and struck out eight to pick up the win. He also hit a solo home run. Dave Mathews hit a pair of singles and Jim Sodeman hit a double. Chuck Koch hit three singles for Austintown.
Struthers Gridiron 13, Niles Hangware Trophy 3 -- Jim Matricardi pitched a three-hitter to pick up the win. Jim Farris hit a home run, double and single. Jim Sodeman also hit a home run. Paul Zuzolo, Rich Porter and Andy Chrisp each doubled for Hangware Trophy.
Springfield Fireman 9, Austintown West 5 -- Michael Kampfer, Mat Morell and Anthony Morell each had three hits for the Firemen. Tyler Hankinson went the distance, striking out seven to pick up the win.
Struthers St. Anthony's 6, Boardman Testa Construction 3 -- Ryan Spatholt had two hits for the winners. Jon Green and Tim Oretega each had two hits for the losers.
SOFTBALL
Pony (13-14)
Canfield Southeastern Equipment 9, Austintown Hi-Tech Tool & amp; Machine 4 -- Winning pitcher Ashley Bleggi struck out 14 batters. Leading hitters were Katie Williams, Ebie Zinni and Abby Tierney. For Austintown, Kym Bowlen's two hits included a double. Shannon Klannis and Sharaya Christman also doubled.
