NEWTON FALLS -- Beginning Tuesday, pupils in grades 7-12 can participate in "A World of Reading @ the Library" at Newton Falls Public Library. Participants who turn in entry slips will be eligible for weekly and grand prize drawings.

Fighting scamsover scholarships
Scholarship scams, in which unscrupulous companies guarantee college scholarships or too-good-to-be-true financial aid packages, are bilking students and parents out of thousands of dollars, warns the Federal Trade Commission.
The FTC's scholarship scams Web site -- http://www.ftc.gov/scholarshipscams/ -- gives students and parents information about spotting and avoiding scholarship rip-offs.
The Web site includes links to the Department of Education's financial aid information for students.
