BOARDMAN DeBartolo creates a new division

The Boardman Holiday Inn will be used as a model for future growth.
BOARDMAN -- Eddie DeBartolo's new company restructured part of its operations with an eye on expansion.
DeBartolo Property Group created a hospitality services division, which includes the Holiday Inn & amp; Conference Center in Boardman.
Edward Muransky, DeBartolo Property chief executive, said the division's business plan calls for growth through acquisitions and building of new properties.
The company said it plans to use the Boardman Holiday Inn as a model for some of this growth. It is seeking similar hotels that would be suitable for acquisition and renovation and is looking at developing hotels in new markets.
The local hotel was remodeled in 1999. A nearby restaurant was turned into a conference center and attached to the hotel with a walkway.
Division executives: DeBartolo Property has named these executives to posts in the hospitality division:
ULeonard Lesko, senior vice president. He had been the hotel's general manager.
UBrent Reynolds, hotel general manager. He had been assistant general manager.
UChristine Bilski, appointed controller. She had been controller of the hotel division.
UDonald Jozwiak, food and beverage director. He had been a marketing representative for Northern Haserot.
Operations: The division also includes an Italian restaurant in Tampa, Fla., an Auntie Anne's Soft Pretzels franchise and Ed & amp; Eddie's Ice Cream in Tampa. The company is looking to expand each of these operations.
DeBartolo Property also announced it will begin construction soon on a shopping center at state routes 8 and 82 in Macedonia.
The project has been approved by the Joint Economic Development District, which includes members from Macedonia City Council and Northfield Center Township trustees.
The 382,000-square-foot plaza will have Lowe's, Target and Giant Eagle has anchors.
About 14 acres also are available for freestanding restaurants, banks and stores.
DeBartolo Property, which has offices in Tampa, Pepper Pike, Ohio, and Boardman, recently took over the real-estate holdings of the Edward J. DeBartolo Corp.
The San Francisco 49ers football team is part of DeBartolo Corp., which is owned by Denise DeBartolo York.
