The engagement of Christinna J. Maynard, 1050 Gillmer Road, Leavittsburg, and Raymond J. Farcas, 12475 Deer Creek Drive, North Royalton, is announced by their parents.
The bride-elect is a daughter of Mark and Charolette Maynard of the Leavittsburg address. Raymond and Nicolette Farcas of Hubbard are the parents of the future groom.
Miss Maynard graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in nursing. She is employed at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, where she works in the cardiothoracic intensive care unit specializing in cardiac transplant.
A graduate of YSU with a bachelor's degree in civil and environmental engineering, Mr. Farcas is a project engineer with Dick Corp. in Brecksville.
Leavittsburg Church of God will be the setting for the couple's open-church ceremony at 2 p.m. Aug. 25. An evening reception by invitation is planned at the Holiday Inn MetroPlex Centre, Liberty.
