BOARDMAN -- The exchange of nuptial vows took place at 10:30 a.m. May 12 as Julie Emch, 5424 Foxhound Lane, Westerville, and John Becker of Delaware, Ohio, were united in marriage by the Rev. Robert Quaintance at St. James Meeting House in Boardman Township Park.
Parents of the couple are Kenneth and Elizabeth Emch, 3841 Nottingham Drive, Youngstown, and John Becker and Betsy Becker, both of Delaware.
After a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple live at the bride's address.
Pearls and embroidery enhanced the bride's ivory satin gown. It featured a square neckline and a full skirt that flowed into a chapel train.
Navy blue gowns were worn by Christine Thompson, the honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, Lisa Emch, Janean Becker, Rachael Thomas, Deborah Meola and Cristy Smith. Flower girl was Marie Emch.
The duties of best man were performed by Michael Rau, and groomsmen were Kenneth Emch, Matthew Emch, Gregory Emch, Alan Morris, Brandon Becker and Mark Thomas. Ring bearer was Kenneth Emch Jr.
The bride, an assistant attorney general with the Ohio Attorney General in Columbus, graduated summa cum laude from Youngstown State University and cum laude with a juris doctor degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.
The groom received his bachelor's degree from the College of Wooster and is an underwriter with State Auto Insurance Co. in Columbus.
