CANFIELD
May 31
Criminal trespassing: A 59-year-old Niles woman was pursued by police after they observed her driving erratically. She pulled into a driveway in the 200 block of Lisbon Street followed by officers. She attempted to go into the residence, where the back door was found half open, later explaining she had trouble seeing at night to drive because of recent eye surgery and was going to call for help.
Drug possession: Police arrested a 45-year-old Canfield man after a traffic stop at East Main Street and Colonial Plaza. Police found in his possession a wooden pipe filled with suspected marijuana and a small bag of suspected marijuana in his car. He also had outstanding warrants in Mahoning County Court, Sebring and Goshen Township involving making harassing phone calls and a caution came up on his report saying he had also carried a concealed weapon and exhibited violence in the past. He was released on his own recognizance from Canfield and handed over to a Goshen police officer.
June 1
Sick raccoon: Police destroyed a sick raccoon in the residential block of Laurel Hills and handed the carcass over to the Mahoning County Health Department for inspection.

May 27
Theft: Someone stole a pager from an Oakwood Avenue home.
Burglary: Someone stole an assortment of items from a residence in the Pine Trace Drive home.
Arrest: Police arrested two men on charges of disorderly conduct and failure to desist on Vassar Drive.
Theft: Someone took an assortment of items from a customer's purse at the Cracker Barrel restaurant, 5600 Interstate Blvd.
May 28
Criminal damaging: Someone broke out the windshield of a vehicle parked South Raccoon Road.
Burglary: A video game and a computer were reported stolen from an Allendale Avenue home.
Burglary/arson: Someone stole the keys to an Allendale Avenue house and then set the house on fire.
Burglary: Someone entered an Ayrshire Drive garage and took items from a vehicle.
May 29
Breaking and entering: Someone took an undetermined amount of money from Mashorda's County Gardens, 5627 Mahoning Ave.
Attempted burglary: Would-be thieves attempted to break into Track Time, 1106 N. Meridian Road, by prying open the overhead door.
Burglary: Someone took computer equipment from a North Main Street home.
Theft: Several dealer plates were stolen from Fred Martin Ford, 4701 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A camcorder was reported stolen from the living room of a New Road home.
Breaking and entering: Clothing was taken from a Benton Avenue home. Police reported a second break-in at the home but nothing was taken.
Breaking and entering: Airbrush guns were taken from a trailer behind Unique Costumes, 4498 Mahoning Ave.

Criminal damage: Someone broke the window of a vehicle parked on Winthrop Drive.
Criminal damage: Someone broke the window of a vehicle parked on Wyndclift Circle.

Theft: Someone stole a cell phone and a radio from The Mill, 1743 S. Raccoon Road.

Burglary: Bicycles, speakers and a videocassette recorder were reported stolen from a New Road home.
Theft: A person paid $500 for a vehicle that was not delivered.

Drug possession: Police arrested a woman at Motel 6, 5431 Seventy-Six Drive, on charges of possession of suspected crack cocaine and marijuana.
Theft: Someone took a cell phone and 30 compact discs from a vehicle at Leff Youngstown Electric, 1090 N. Meridian Road.
Breaking and entering: Mashorda's County Gardens was broken into and money was taken.
