CRAFT SHOWS
XSt. Jude Women's Guild is seeking vendors for the annual holiday craft show planned from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 17 at St. Jude's Activity Center, 180 Seventh St., Columbiana. Vendors should call (330) 549-3462 for information. The event will feature handmade crafts, bake sale, a Chinese auction and a raffle. Lunch and refreshments will be sold.
FESTIVALS
XSt. Anne Ukrainian Catholic School's 25th annual festival is planned from 6 to 11 p.m. June 13 to 16 and from 1 to 11 p.m. June 17 at 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown. Ride specials will be from 2 to 5 p.m. June 16 and from 1 to 5 p.m. June 17. Also on Sunday, there will be a Father's Day rigatoni dinner from noon to 4 p.m. and fireworks after dark. Special games will be held in the hall. A raffle will offer a $3,000 grand prize, $1,000 second prize and $100 drawing each night. Winners need not be present. Festival admission is free. There will be food vendors, and the school will offer Ukrainian specialties such as kolbasi and sauerkraut, haluski, pirogi and stuffed cabbage.
XThe 28th annual St. Nicholas Church Festival, 764 Fifth St., Struthers, is scheduled the second week of June. Children's night will be observed from 6 to 10 p.m. June 13 with rides, games and food. The event will continue from 6 to 11 p.m. June 14 to 17 with children and adult rides, games, food and refreshments. Nightly bingo and other games will be played in the hall. A raffle for a $10,000 grand prize will be at 11 p.m. Sunday.
FUND-RAISERS
XEllsworth Presbyterian Church Youth Group will sponsor a car wash from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Porter's Gas Station, Routes 45 and 224 in Ellsworth, to raise funds for a trip to Purdue University for a Youth Triennium.
XSimon Road Church of God, 4750 Simon Road, Boardman, will sponsor a trash and treasure sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to p.m. Saturday. The event will feature clothing and household items. Proceeds will benefit mission work.
SALES
XBryn Mawr Avenue Block Watch will sponsor a yard sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the corner of Fairfax and Liberty Road. XThe missions committee of First Christian Assembly, 3243 Cardinal Drive, Liberty Township, will hold its annual yard sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday The event will include crafts, baked goods and refreshments.
XFirst United Methodist Church, 237 W. Silver St., Sharon, Pa., will sponsor a sidewalk sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 11 and 12 and from 9 a.m. to noon June 13. Wednesday also will be dollar day; whatever fits in a grocery bag is a dollar.
XA bake sale is planned from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Wal-Mart in Austintown by the Ulster Project.
