EASTER SEAL Angels install Geri Kosar as president for 2001-02



LIBERTY TOWNSHIP -- The Angels of Easter Seal met May 23 at the Youngstown Country Club for a lunch and installation of officers for 2001-02.
Geri Kosar was inducted to lead the organization as president, and those installed as her associate officers were Carol Lumsden, first vice president; Lynn Bucci, second vice president; Lynn Mitchell, treasurer; Betty Cmil, recording secretary; and Nancy Leicht, corresponding secretary.
Mrs. Kosar, the former Geri Krajcirik, was born in Youngstown and is a graduate of St. Elizabeth Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse for 27 years in the area and works in the public relations department at BJK Inc. and the Bernie J. Kosar Charitable Trust.
Activities: She has been active with the Easter Seal Society of Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana Counties for over 10 years and has held the offices of secretary and president of its board of directors. She was voted as one of the YWCA Women of the Year in 1997 and is a member of Y's auxiliary.
She is a founding member of the Rich Center for Autism at Youngstown State University and serves on its board of directors. She also is a member of the St. Elizabeth Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association and the Autism Society of America, and has served on a task force on autism for the Bureau for Children with Medical Handicaps.
She and her husband, Bernie Kosar Sr., have three children and nine grandchildren.
