BOARDMAN -- Mr. and Mrs. John M. French of 7511 Jaguar Drive are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Carrie French of Columbus, to Brian Sarkis, also of Columbus, son of Mr. and Mrs. Simon Sarkis, 7060 Lockwood Blvd., Canfield.
The couple have chosen Nov. 3 for their 2:30 p.m. open ceremony at St. Columba Cathedral in Youngstown. A reception by invitation will take place that evening at the Maronite Center, also in Youngstown.
Miss French holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from Ohio State University and is an executive assistant at Express World Headquarters, Columbus.
Her fiance graduated from OSU with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. He is employed as a civil engineer with Opus North Corp. in Columbus.
