WEEMS, Va. -- Former Boardman residents, Jay and Jane Tims of Weems are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Cameron Lee Tims of Cambridge, Mass., to Michael James Casey, also of Cambridge, a son of Sylvia N. Casey of Huntington, N.Y., and the late James P. Casey.
The couple have chosen Aug. 18 for their open wedding at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity German Church in Boston. Invitations will be issued for a reception to be held afterward at the Harvard Club of Boston.
Miss Tims graduated from Smith College in Northampton, Mass., with a bachelor's degree in English. She is pursuing her juris doctorate at Harvard Law School in Cambridge.
Mr. Casey earned a bachelor's degree in political science at Boston College, Chestnut Hill, Mass., and received his master's degree in finance from New York University Stern School of Business. He is employed by State Street Global Advisors in Boston as a principal with the client service group.
