NEW SPRINGFIELD -- Announced by Edward and Leanna Anthonsen, 12555 Springfield Road, is the engagement of their son, Aaron S. Anthonsen, 775 Emory St., Imperial Beach, Calif., and Alayna C. Bridwell, 9802 Fowler Ave., Pensacola, Fla., a daughter of Carol Pitts, 3827 Rolling Acres Road, Pace, Fla., and the late MacArthur Bridwell.
The bride-elect, a fourth-grade teacher at Ensley Elementary School in Pensacola, Fla., graduated from the University of West Florida in Pensacola with a bachelor's degree in education.
The future groom graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., with a bachelor's degree in systems engineering. He is a pilot in the U.S. Navy with the Helicopter Antisubmarine Squadron at the Naval Air Station in North Island, Calif.
The couple will issue invitations for their 7:30 p.m. Aug. 18 wedding and their reception afterward, both at the home of the bride's parents.
