Dinner party held to honor Millers on 60th anniversary of their wedding

YOUNGSTOWN -- The 60th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. James S. Miller, 335 White House Lane, was celebrated during a family dinner party held Dec. 15 at the Holiday Inn in Boardman.
Hosts for the event were their children and their spouses, Mr. and Mrs. Frank (Marilyn) Weaver of North Lima and Mr. and Mrs. Mark (Barbara) Cole of Howland. Unable to attend were the couple's son, James S. Miller, and his wife, Kathy, who live in Gulf Breeze, Fla. There are eight grandchildren in the family.
The former Marian B. Bascom and Mr. Miller were married Dec. 18, 1941, in the office of a Justice of the Peace in New Cumberland, W.Va.
Mrs. Miller retired in 1980 from her position as a second-grade teacher with Boardman Local Schools. She is a member of the Progress Study Club.
Mr. Miller was a vocal music teacher with Youngstown Public Schools prior to retiring in 1980.
The couple are members of Mahoning Retired Teachers and Central Christian Church.
