Hiram falters to Bluffton in tourney

TIFFIN -- Rod Overmyer scored 24 points and Mike Leimeister backed him up with 22 more as Bluffton College defeated Hiram 90-67 in the first round of the Hampton Inn Coaches vs. Cancer Holiday Classic.
Bluffton (4-5) reached a season-high in points scored.
David Mayle scored 20 points for Hiram (2-8).
Heidelberg 71, Lake Erie 64: TIFFIN -- Lucas Messer poured in 33 points for the winners (5-6), who will meet Bluffton today at 4 p.m. for the tournament title.
Brandon Henderson scored 19 points for Lake Erie (4-7).
