YOUNGSTOWN -- The exchange of nuptial vows took place at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 10 in the presence of Monsignor Lawrence Fye as Michelle Lodyn, Waggaman Circle, Boardman, and John Calko, Carter Circle, Boardman, were united in marriage at St. Columba Cathedral.
A reception was held at the Maronite Center in honor of the daughter of Mike and Karen Lodyn, also of Waggaman Circle, and the son of Nancy Calko, Mercedes Place, Canfield, and the late John Calko.
The bride's white matte satin gown featured a Queen Anne neckline, basque waistline, full skirt and cathedral train, and was embellished with pearls, sequins and lace.
Wearing black gowns were the bride's sister and honor attendant, Melanie Lodyn, and the bridesmaids, Melissa Cohn, her cousin; Lisa Schwab, the groom's sister; Katie Fleming; Pamela Koehler; Sarah McGarry; and Jill Sinchak. Junior bridesmaid was Taylor Clark, the bride's cousin.
Greg Calko was best man for his brother, and groomsmen were Mark and Mike Calko, the groom's brothers; Greg Schwab, his brother-in-law; Darek Chomczyk; and Brian Brancaccio. Ushers were Tim Clark, the bride's uncle, and Gailen Cramer, her grandfather.
The bride, a licensed cosmetologist, is a makeup artist with Casal's de Spa and Salon in Canfield.
The groom is attending Youngstown State University and is an assistant manager with Lowe's of Boardman and a police officer with Goshen Township.
The newlyweds live in Boardman.
