MERCER COUNTY Get a dog, not another wife, judge tells Ohio bigamist

MERCER, Pa. -- A Mercer County Common Pleas Court judge told a Brookfield, Ohio, man, who earlier this year pleaded guilty to a bigamy charge, that if he wants affection, he should get a pet dog -- not another wife.
Judge Thomas Dobson sentenced Todd Jablon, 39, of Wyngate Manor, on Tuesday to three months to one year in the Mercer County Jail. Jablon is eligible for work release.
Court records say Jablon, who was arrested Jan. 9, married a woman Feb. 4, 2000, in Mercer County, although he had never divorced two women he married previously -- one in Lawrence County and the other in Trumbull County.
One wife, who was afraid of getting into trouble herself, reported Jablon to authorities.
He was originally charged with perjury, bigamy and false swearing. On June 11, he pleaded guilty to bigamy. At that time, the other charges were dismissed.
Drug case: Dobson also sentenced a Sharon man to three months to one year in the county jail for possessing and delivering cocaine to an undercover police officer.
Pennsylvania State Police in Mercer arrested Leonard Keith Cameron, 40, of Sherman Avenue, on Dec. 14 in Sharon. Police said that on July 24, 1999, Cameron had in his possession 14.1 grams of cocaine and that on July 29, 1999, he sold nearly 26 grams of cocaine to an undercover police officer for $1,400 in the parking lot of a Division Street business in Sharon.
On June 11, he pleaded guilty to delivery of a controlled substance and possessing a controlled substance.
