Man, 71, faces sex-conduct charge

GIRARD -- A 71-year-old man known as "Grandpa Bill" has been bound over to the Trumbull County grand jury. William McCullough of Jones Court waived his right to a preliminary hearing Wednesday before municipal Judge Michael Bernard.
He remains in the county jail under $30,000 bond. Accused of inappropriate touching, he is charged with unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. Police said McCullough became friends and gained the trust of six Youngstown families. They referred to him as "Grandpa Bill." He would take children ranging in age from 7 to 13 from the families to his house or they would be dropped off.
