Race to close 3 roadsat Mill Creek Park
YOUNGSTOWN -- Three Mill Creek Park roads will be closed from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday for a bicycle race.
The roads closed are: Cross Drive, New Bears Den Drive and Bears Den Drive, from McCollum Road to the West Park Drive triangle.
Spectators and participants should park in the Wick Recreation Area parking lots.
Fund-raiser featuresclassic cars, firetrucks
AKRON -- The second annual Miracle on Wheels fund-raiser for Children's Hospital Medical Center of Akron will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Sam's Club, 3750 W. Market St., Fairlawn.
The show features classic cars 25 years old and older and antique firetrucks and ambulances. The awards ceremony will be at 5 p.m. for categories such as Best Modified Vehicle and Best Original Vehicle.
The show is free and open to the public, but donations are accepted for Children's Hospital.
Last year, more than $5,000 was raised.
