PENN-OHIO Oneonta winner at home

ONEONTA, NY -- The Oneonta Tigers used two hits and a pair of walks to score a first-inning run and made the advantage hold up in a 1-0 win over the Mahoning Valley Scrappers Saturday night.
The Scrappers (18-40) wasted a fine pitching performance as Victor Kleine, Todd Culp and Mark Turnbow combined to limit the Tigers (28-28) to five hits.
The Scrappers were held to three hits -- one each by Chad Peshke, Josh Bard and Maximo Made. The final 18 Mahoning Valley batters were retired in order.
The Scrappers will play six home games in six days beginning tonight with Auburn (26-32) at 7:05 p.m.
