Does a professional photographer have an advantage when playing "Fastest Finger" on ABC's game show "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire"? Find out at 8 p.m. Tuesday when Sherry Hutchison of Hermitage, Pa., tries to advance to the Hot Seat, next to program host Regis Philbin.
Hutchison, 42, is also a freelance writer. She qualified the first time she called last April, she said. She took her sister, Sandy Crumrine of Ligonier, Pa., with her to the taping in New York on July 10.
"I had a great time. It was a wonderful experience," Hutchison said.
Guitarist to perform
YOUNGSTOWN -- World traveling acoustic guitarist Jim Scott will promote ecology and peace through his music at 7 p.m., Monday in First Unitarian Church, Elm Street at Illinois Avenue. Scott mixes humor, righteousness and reverence for the earth in his message. His background is in jazz and classical music, although he identifies with the folk genre. Tribute to Bessie Smith
CLEVELAND -- Bessie Smith, "Empress of the Blues," will be the subject of a weeklong tribute next month at Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum's sixth annual American Music Masters program.
Events will be Sept. 24-30. Highlights will include an informal jam session at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 29 at the museum and an all-star concert at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 30 at Severance Hall. Performers will be announced later.
Smith flourished during the 1920s, when she played to full houses in the South and Midwest. She wrote most of the 160 songs in her catalog and recorded with Louis Armstrong, Benny Goodman, Lionel Hampton and others. Her influence was later felt by singers such as Billie Holliday, Janis Joplin and Aretha Franklin.
Smith was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989.

Event for seniors
