NY-PENN LEAGUE Scrappers tamed by Tigers, 9-1



ONEONTA, N.Y. -- The Mahoning Valley Scrappers avoided a shutout by scoring in the top of the ninth, but fell to Oneonta 9-1 Friday in the New York-Penn League.
With two out in the ninth, Francis Finnerty reached and came around to score for the Scrappers, who trailed 8-0 after three innings against the Tigers (27-28).
Bryce Uegawachi, Rickie Morton, Travis Santini and Keith Lillash also had hits for the Scrappers (18-39).
