YOUNGSTOWN -- Applications for the Little Miss CityFest contest will be accepted through Monday at the city council office in city hall.
The deadline had been Friday but the council office was closed.
The contest is for girls ages 8 to 11 who will be judged on their knowledge of Youngstown trivia and in a hula hoop contest.

School registration
CAMPBELL -- New students may register for class from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday at the school they plan on attending.
New students must reside with their parents in Campbell or be in the legal custody of and reside with a Campbell resident.
Three proofs of residence, immunization records and a birth certificate are required.
Use of bank cardbrings fraud charge
SHARON, Pa. -- Police have charged a Spruce Avenue woman with access device fraud, accusing her of using another woman's bank access card to steal $100.
Natalie E. Garbutt, 35, was picked up at her home shortly before 4 p.m. Thursday on a warrant and arraigned Friday before District Justice James McMahon, who ordered her held on $50,000 bond. She was sent to Mercer County Jail.
Police said she was out on bail awaiting trial on drug charges at the time of the theft.
Garbutt was working for a company that provided health care and cleaning services and took the card from the home of a Linden Street woman where she was working Tuesday, police said.
Trustee to run again
BOARDMAN -- Township Trustee John Cox of Wildwood Drive filed nominating petitions Friday with the Mahoning County Board of Elections seeking re-election to his fourth term.
Trustee Thomas P. Costello of West Parkside Drive and Samuel M. Moffie of Lockwood Boulevard have also filed nominating petitions.
Thursday is the deadline to file. There are two trustees seats up for grabs in the Nov. 6 election.
Go-carts reported stolen
HERMITAGE, Pa. -- Police are investigating a rash of go-cart thefts from businesses along the Shenango Valley Freeway.
Six vehicles have been taken over the last few days, police said.
Tractor Supply in Hermitage Hills Plaza was the first victim. Witnesses saw a man loading a go-cart into a blue and silver pickup on Wednesday. The go-cart is valued at $800.
When Tractor Supply employees came to work Thursday, they discovered three more carts and a lawn tractor had been taken from a fenced-in area overnight. That loss totaled $4,400, police said.
On Friday, an employee of Wal-Mart at 3300 Shenango Valley Freeway noticed a black pickup truck leaving the parking lot as she came to work around 5:20 a.m. There were two go-carts in the back of the truck, she said. Police said that loss was $2,200.
