SALEM -- Announcement of the engagement of Jennifer L. Aldom, 1120 N. Lincoln Ave., and Kirk D. Poffenberger, 907 Cunningham Road, is being made by their parents, Michael and Karen Aldom of the Lincoln Avenue address and James and Lois Poffenberger of 3368 McCracken Road.
The couple will exchange marriage vows at 4:30 p.m. Sept. 14 on the west terrace at Stan Hywet Hall in Akron. A reception will be held the next day at the Saxon Club Pavilion in Salem. Invitations will be extended for both events.
Miss Aldom holds a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Youngstown State University and is employed in the assembly department at Lear Corp. in Lordstown.
Her fiance graduated from YSU and is a self-employed graphic designer in Salem.
