Annual fish sale
CORTLAND -- The Trumbull Soil and Water Conservation District's annual fish sale is under way. The fish, white amur, are between 9 and 13 inches and cost $10 each. They are for home ponds. Deadline for ordering is Oct. 1; delivery will be 2:30 p.m. Oct. 4 at the Mosquito Lake parking lot. For more information, call (330) 637-2056, Ext. 101.
Howland school rules
HOWLAND -- Howland High School staff will explain school procedures and regulations to new students and their parents at 6 p.m. Thursday in the high school gymnasium. Park in the student lot on the north side of the high school and enter through the gym lobby.
Orientation for pupils
GIRARD -- Orientation for Girard pupils entering grades 7, 8 and 9 will be next week. Seventh-graders are scheduled to meet Aug. 21, eighth-graders will meet Aug. 22 and freshmen will meet Aug. 23. All sessions begin at 10 a.m. in the high school auditorium. Parents are welcome.
Enrolling new students
BROOKFIELD -- The high school guidance department will be enrolling new students starting Aug. 24. Parents must show shot records, Social Security cards, a recent report card, proof of residency, birth certificate and custody papers if applicable. Call (330) 448-3001 to schedule an appointment.
