Summary of police activity:
July 30
Burglary: Someone broke into Country Kitchen, 833 Boardman-Poland Road, causing $500 in damage to the window and taking a safe containing $1,100 and $200 worth of gift certificates.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle was broken into in a lot in the 500 block of Boardman-Canfield Road, causing $200 damage to the window.
Bad checks: A man used two bad checks totaling $650 for a down payment on a vehicle at Hyundai, 260 Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: $200,000 was stolen from Nationwide Insurance, 1045 Tiffany South, by an employee.
Auto theft: A 1985 Chevrolet Caprice was stolen from the lot of the Skate Connection, 7080 Tiffany Blvd.
Theft: A handicap placard was stolen from a vehicle in the 7000 block of West Boulevard.
Breaking and entering: $2,500 in damage was done to property in the 1000 block of Meadow Lane.
Theft: A woman used a stolen credit card to purchase $537 worth of items at the Southern Park Mall, 7401 Market St.
Theft: $322 was stolen from a register at Phar-Mor, 7121 Tiffany Blvd., by a female employee.
Arrest: A 47-year-old Boardman man was arrested at the Holiday Inn, 7410 South Ave., for disorderly conduct and public indecency.
Theft: Two deposits totaling $3,922 were stolen from Aeropostale, 7401 Market St.
Theft: A man stole cigarettes totaling $41 from Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive.
Arrest: A 25-year-old Florida man was arrested on Boardman-Canfield Road and charged with public indecency.
Theft: A 21-year-old man stole $336 and invoices from Joe Bertin Inc., 7495 California Ave.
Theft: A man stole a pair of shoes from Gabriel Bros., 850 Boardman-Poland Road
Theft: A 16-year-old Youngstown man and a 17-year-old Youngstown man were arrested at Movies 8, 469 Boardman-Poland Road, on charges of stealing $794 worth of coins from the video games.
Drug paraphernalia: A 19-year-old Youngstown woman was arrested in the 100 block of Lemans and charged with possession of a marijuana pipe.
Aug. 1
Arrest: A 44-year-old Boardman man was arrested on Suzylynn Avenue and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, inducing panic and aggravated menacing.
Criminal mischief: A 12-year-old Boardman girl was arrested on Erskine after being accused of egging the neighbors house.
Theft: Six lawn signs were stolen from a yard on Beechwood Drive.
Criminal damaging: A window of the Cellular One, 388 McClurg Road, was broken out, causing $200 in damage.
Burglary: $1,060 worth of items were stolen from an attached garage on Glenridge.
Theft: A $300 CD player was stolen from a vehicle parked at the Southern Park Mall, 7401 Market St.
Theft: A counterfeit $50 was given to purchase items at Sam's Club, 7469 South Ave.
Theft: Someone used a credit card without permission and charged $151 at Giant Eagle.
Theft: A man stole a saw, drill, batteries, battery charger and flashlight from a garage on Hitchcock Road.
Theft: Someone stole a personal check from a Boardman woman at Beeghly Oaks, 6505 Market St., and cashed out $200.
Criminal damaging: A window was smashed out of a vehicle parked in a driveway on Leland Avenue.
Drug paraphernalia: Police found a marijuana bong on South Schenley Avenue belonging to 22-year-old Boardman man.
Aug. 2
Arrest: Police arrested a 19-year-old Boardman man accused of having fireworks on Rockland Avenue.
Criminal damaging: A woman did $600 in damage to the pane of glass on a sliding door on Shields Road.
Theft: A 20-year-old woman charged $582 on a charge card belonging to a Struthers woman at Kohl's, 383 Boardman-Poland Road, without permission.
Theft: $550 worth of property was stolen from a home on Forest Park Place.
Burglary: $500 damage was done to a sliding door and a wooden door on Southern Boulevard.
Theft: Two bikes worth $275 were stolen from a yard on Oak Knoll.
Theft: $300 and charge cards were stolen from a bag at Boardman Swim Club, 6907 West Blvd.
Burglary: $50 in damage was done to a door knob after someone broke into a home on Meadowood Circle.
Theft: A wallet belonging to a Boardman man was stolen and purchases on the credit cards were made.
Aug. 3
Arrest: Police arrested a 54-year-old Youngstown man on Simon Road on a secret indictment for theft and tampering with records.
Arrest: A 30-year-old Youngstown man was arrested on Boardman-Canfield Road and charged with receiving stolen property and drug paraphernalia.
Criminal damaging: A glass window of a garage was shattered after someone threw a brick through it on South Avenue.
Theft: A man stole $800 worth of property from the living room of a home on Southern Boulevard.
Theft: A Youngstown woman stole a pair of $17 shoes from Payless Shoes, 7401 Market St.
Criminal damaging: A pellet gun was shot at a vehicle parked on South Avenue, causing dents in the paint.
Arrest: A 20-year-old Struthers man was arrested on Market Street and charged with criminal damaging and assault.
Criminal damaging: The window of a vehicle was broken out while parked on Boardman-Poland Road.
Aug. 4
Arrest: A 37-year-old Pennsylvania man was arrested at the police department and charged with fleeing and eluding and public indecency.
Theft: A 17-year-old Pennsylvania woman was arrested and charged with stealing a $17 shirt from 5-7-9, 7401 Market St.
Criminal damaging: The tire of a vehicle parked on Boardman-Poland Road was punctured by a sharp object.
Theft: A weed whacker was stolen from a garage on Brookfield Avenue.
Theft: A 17-year-old Youngstown man and a 18-year-old Youngstown man were arrested and charged with stealing a pack of batteries, air pistols and four CDs at Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive.
Theft: A $75 bike was stolen from a front porch on Lemans Drive.
Aug. 5
Theft: A man stole five receipts at Microtel, 7393 South Ave.
Criminal damaging: $200 in damage was done to a lawn, mailbox and newspaper box on Meadow Lane.
Theft: A ring, golf bag, and CDs were stolen from a vehicle on Wolosyn Circle.
Theft: A man stole a CD player at CVS Pharmacy, 6121 South Ave.
Criminal damaging: The rear window of a vehicle was smashed on Sunset Drive.
Auto theft: A 1980 Cutlass was stolen on Glenwood Avenue.
Theft: A purse was stolen from a vehicle parked at Cinema South, 7420 South Ave.
Arrest: Two 16-year-olds from Youngstown and two 17-year-olds from Youngstown were arrested at Skate Connection, 7080 Tiffany Blvd., and charged with disorderly conduct and failure to desist.
