LEANN LAMPLEYCORNELIUS LASTER
YOUNGSTOWN -- A honeymoon to Niagara Falls, Canada, followed the July 14 wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius L. Laster at Price Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church. The Rev. Daniel Webb heard the exchange of vows between the former LeAnn D. Lampley and the groom, both of Judson Ave.
The daughter of Wendy and Jerry Lampley Sr., Chalmers Avenue, and the son of Darlean Haskins-Laster of Kimmel Avenue and the late Johnny J. Laster Sr. were honored at a reception at Stambaugh Auditorium.
An administrative assistant with National City Bank, Mrs. Laster is attending Youngstown State University.
Mr. Laster, a dock assistant at Dillard's Department Store in Boardman, will attend YSU.
Honor attendants were Levonia Laster and Nicole Laster. Bridesmaids were Heather G. Benson, Samona R. Douglas, Luenettle M. Green, Amanda L. Johnson, Nicole Williams and Jamila Laster. They wore buttercup yellow dresses. Flower girls were J'Maira N. Stevens and Shamara Benson.
Sharing the duties of best man were W. Jerome Laster and Johnnie J. Laster Jr. Groomsmen were Alex J. Bevly III, Nathan Green, Samuel B. Haskins, Richard Lampley II, Steven Williams, Jerry L. Lampley Jr. and Shamari L. Laster. Ring bearers were Jarius E. DuBose and De'mas T. Green. Ushers were Charles B. McCrae IV and Paul A. Gilbert.
The bride's white gown was embellished with pearl accents and featured a corset top with an embroidered design and a toile princess-style skirt.
