NILES -- Boxing matchmaker Gregg Augustine has scheduled a seven-bout card for Friday at Eastwood Expo Center.
Erie's Lou Bizarro (12-1-0) will take on Craig Oxley (8-1-0) of Charleston, W. Va.
"Bizarro is a great boxer and has quick hands," Augustine said. "Oxley will be a tough opponent and should make a great main event."
The other eight-round co-feature has Cleveland's Ruben Torres (11-8-0) against Ruben Ruiz (14-14-2) of Indianapolis.
If Torres wins, he will meet E.T. Whitaker in October for a possible Ohio state title fight in the light heavy-weight division. Bizarro and Oxley will scale around 140 pounds for their fight.
Six-round fights will feature Grelton's Charlie Howe (11-3-0) against Tyrus Armstead (10-6-1).
The other six-round bout will feature a return engagement between middleweight Sam Hawkins (1-1-0) against Micah Acord of Lancaster.
Acord, (3-0-1), beat Hawkins in their fight here in June.
One of boxing's youngest stars in the future is Kentucky's Danny Maldonado, who will take his (4-0, four KOs) against Donny Miller (1-1) of West Virginia in a four-round bout.
Another four-round bout will feature Youngstown junior welterweight Joey Bullock (5-1) against an opponent to be named later.
Warren boxer P.C. Torres, a veteran of 70 amateru bouts, will make his pro debut against Kevin Underwood of Cincinnati, who will also be making his pro debut.
The fights will start at 7:30 p.m. and gates will open at 6:30 p.m.
