The Youngstown Board of Control took these actions Thursday:
Bought a 2001 Ford Taurus SE from Interstate Ford Inc., Miamisburg, for the court's bailiff department for $15,616.Bought eight Dell computers and four scanners for a total of $11,500 for the police department.Agreed to pay $58,300 to the Mahoning County Chemical Dependence Agency and $20,000 to the Beatitude House through emergency shelter grants.Agreed to pay $24,000 to the Youngstown Health Department for a nurse.Approved a $121,477 contract for city council chamber renovations, including $97,538 to Murphy Contracting Co. for general contracting work, $8,639 to Commercial Piping Co. Inc., for plumbing and heating, ventilation and air conditioning work and $15,300 to University Electric Inc., for electrical work.
