Deadline for pageant
YOUNGSTOWN -- The deadline to apply for the Little Miss CityFest contest is 3 p.m. Aug. 17. Contestants must be Youngstown girls ages 8 to 11. They will answer trivia about the city and compete in a Hula-Hoop contest beginning at 5 p.m. Aug. 26, the last day of CityFest 2001.
Applications are at the city clerk's office on the sixth floor of city hall.
Road closed for event
YOUNGSTOWN -- Robinson Hill Drive, from Old Furnace Road to the Slippery Rock Bridge in Mill Creek Park, will be closed from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday for the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley's bike ride and walk fund-raising event.
