Warren West Health Center
The patients served by the Warren West Health Center live in the most impoverished part of Warren. Each of the three census tracts surrounding Warren West is federally designated as "medically underserved" and as a "health professional shortage area."About 12,000 people reside in the Warren West neighborhood, one third of them children.Half of all households have incomes below $20,000, and nearly 80 percent of the families with school-age children have only one parent or guardian.In the center's first year of operation, 1997, nearly 1,500 children were served.
