AUSTINTOWN -- Mr. and Mrs. Frank J. Weldele, 4333 Nottingham Drive, were honored during a reception held in celebration of their 60th wedding anniversary July 15 at Autumn Hills Country Club in Fort Wayne, Ind.
Hosts for the festivity were the couple's children and their spouses, Karen and Jerry Calengor of Fort Wayne and Dr. Frank and Mary Weldele of Austintown. Five grandchildren complete the family.
Mr. Weldele and the former Eleanor Ritchie were married June 3, 1941, in Terre Haute, Ind. They are members of St. James Episcopal church.
Mrs. Weldele graduated from Indiana State University with a degree in teaching and was chairwoman of the home economics department at Austintown Fitch High School prior to her retirement.
Also a graduate of ISU, Mr. Weldele retired in 1983 after 34 years of service with the A. H. Buehrle Co. where he was vice president and director of sales. He was active for many years with the Men's Garden Club of Youngstown and served with the U.S. Army in India during World War II.
