LIMELIGHT Awards, achievements

YOUNGSTOWN -- Two members of the Yo-Mah-O Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals have achieved the rating of Certified Professional Secretary. Mary Lynn Pavone of Boardman, the group's recording secretary, and Christine Simone of Poland, chapter corresponding secretary, passed a three-part examination to achieve the certification. Pavone is a secretary in the Department of Geology and Center for Environmental Studies at Youngstown State University and previously taught business and computers at a technical school and high school. Simone is office manager at Melmor Associates, Niles.
WARREN -- Paige & amp; Byrnes Insurance, with offices in Warren and Hubbard, was awarded the 2001-2002 Pacesetter designation from The Motorists Insurance Group, recognizing the agency's professionalism and profitability. The designation is awarded to the Columbus insurance provider's top tier of agencies.
YOUNGSTOWN -- Kathy Carroll, a Realtor associated with Burgan Real Estate Ltd., has been awarded the Certified Residential Specialist designation by the National Association of Realtors. The designation recognizes professionalism, education and performance in the industry.
NORTH LIMA -- Robert Maher, a professional driver for Roadway Express in North Lima, has logged 1 million miles without a preventable accident. A North Lima resident, he has been a driver for Roadway for eight and a half years and is a Korean War veteran.
SHARON -- Several resumes designed by JaneCo's Sensible Solutions in Sharon have been selected for publication in a new job seekers guidebook, Expert Resumes for Manufacturing Professionals. The book was published by JIST Works, Inc.
SHARON -- Melanie Garrett Inman, a nurse at Sharon Regional Health System, recently earned her occupational heath nurse specialist case manager certification. The certification, administered by the American Board of Occupational Health Nurses, is recognized as an indicator of expertise in the profession. Inman joined the company in 1978, and she also manages Sharon Regional's Travel Clinic, which offers immunizations for travelers to countries throughout the world.
FARRELL, Pa. -- Todd Scott, a certified registered piano technician from Farrell, was a speaker recently for the international convention of the Piano Technicians Guild in Reno, Nev.
